Terms of Service
Last updated: April 28, 2026
Please read these Terms carefully before using Dishpad. By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using Dishpad, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. What Dishpad Is
Dishpad is a recipe organizer tool that allows you to save, organize, and view recipes on your personal Mac. Dishpad is a tool — it does not create, own, or host recipe content. You are responsible for the recipes you save and how you use them.
2. One-Time Purchase
Dishpad offers a free tier (up to 5 saved recipes) and a one-time paid upgrade of $8.00 USD for unlimited features. This is a single, non-recurring payment — there are no subscriptions, no auto-renewals, and no hidden fees.
Your payment grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the paid features of the App for as long as the App remains functional on your device.
3. Your Data Stays With You
Dishpad stores all recipe data locally on your device. We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to your saved recipes. Because your data is stored locally, you are solely responsible for backing up your data. We are not responsible for any loss of data due to device failure, app deletion, or any other cause.
4. The App Is Provided "As Is"
Dishpad is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be available at all times or at any particular time
- The App will be free of errors, bugs, or interruptions
- The recipe clipping feature will work with every website or recipe format
- The App will be updated, maintained, or supported indefinitely
- Any specific features will continue to be available
5. No Guaranteed Updates or Support
Dishpad is an independently developed product. We may release updates, improvements, or bug fixes at our discretion, but we are under no obligation to do so. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any part of it at any time, with or without notice. In the event we discontinue the App, your locally stored recipe data will remain on your device and will not be affected.
6. Service Availability
The recipe clipping feature requires an internet connection and relies on a backend service to parse recipe URLs. This backend service may experience downtime, may be discontinued, or may not support all recipe websites. All other features of the App (viewing, organizing, and cooking from saved recipes) work entirely offline and do not depend on any external service.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dishpad and its developer(s) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the App, regardless of the cause of action or the theory of liability.
Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.
8. Payments & Refunds
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card information.
Because Dishpad Pro is a digital product that is immediately activated upon purchase, all sales are generally final. If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw within 14 days of purchase unless you explicitly waive that right at checkout, which you do by completing the purchase after acknowledging this.
If you experience a technical issue preventing you from using Pro features you purchased, contact us at clipcook.recipes@gmail.com and we will work to resolve it.
9. Intellectual Property
The Dishpad application, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of its developer(s). You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the App.
Recipes you save, create, or import into Dishpad remain your content. We claim no ownership over your saved recipes.
10. Recipe Content and Copyright
Dishpad is a tool that helps you organize recipes for personal use. When you clip a recipe from a website, the App reads publicly available structured data (such as JSON-LD markup) that the website has made available for exactly this purpose. You are responsible for ensuring your use of saved recipe content complies with applicable copyright laws. Dishpad does not host, redistribute, or publicly display recipe content from third-party websites.
11. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to circumvent the App's licensing or payment system
- Use automated tools to mass-scrape recipe websites through the App
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the App
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will make the updated Terms available within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oklahoma, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
